LEGO® Black Friday 2024: Three Exclusive GWP Deals Have Fans Excited

This year, LEGO® fans have a lot to look forward to as Black Friday 2024 approaches. From nostalgic throwbacks to seasonal delights, LEGO’s upcoming gift-with-purchase (GWP) offerings are sure to be a treat. Here's a look at the standout GWPs set to launch during the Black Friday and holiday season.

1. Retro Record Player (40699) – $250 Threshold

Kicking off the holiday shopping season, the Retro Record Player (40699) will be available as a GWP from November 29 to December 2, 2024. This model, reminiscent of the mid-century record players, requires a spend threshold of $250. Based off pictures we've seen so far, its compact design measures around 6.3 by 5 inches (20 x 16 studs), fitting nicely on a desk or shelf alongside other retro LEGO® builds like the 3-in-1 Retro Camera (31147) or the Retro Radio (10334).

Many LEGO® fans see this record player as a must-have, completing the nostalgic trio and potentially becoming a collector’s item in its own right. However, there is some speculation that LEGO® may limit this GWP to specific categories, so keeping an eye on purchase requirements could be important. 

2. Shackleton’s Lifeboat (40729) – Exclusive for The Endurance Set Buyers

Another exclusive item this season is 40729 Shackleton’s Lifeboat, a tribute to Sir Ernest Shackleton’s famous Antarctic expedition. This model will be exclusively available with the purchase of the 3,011-piece display model, The Endurance (10335), which retails for $269.99. The Endurance release date is set for November 29, with the Shackleton’s Lifeboat offered as a GWP for Insiders who buy the set between November 29 and December 2.

The lifeboat complements The Endurance and adds an extra touch of historical homage to this impressive build, celebrating one of the most remarkable survival stories in history. It features minifigures of Captain Sir Ernest Shackleton and photographer Frank Hurley.

3. Christmas Train (40700) – Estimated $120-150 Threshold

Christmas spirit arrives with the release of the 40700 Christmas Train, the perfect seasonal touch to any LEGO® display. This Creator set contains 294 pieces and will be available as a GWP throughout the first half of December, while supplies last. Although the exact purchase threshold is not yet confirmed, it’s expected to fall between $120 and $150.
